Olympic bronze medalist freestyle wrestler Rashidov became the winner of the Ivan Yarygin Cup

Russian freestyle wrestler Gadjimurad Rashidov won gold at the Ivan Yarygin Cup, which takes place in Krasnoyarsk.

In the final fight of the competition in the weight category up to 65 kg, the bronze medalist of the Tokyo Olympics and 2019 world champion defeated the representative of Monogolia Tulga Tumura-Ochira. Russians Dalgat Abdulkadyrov and Aripgadzhiyav Abdulaev became bronze medalists.

In the weight category up to 79 kg, all medals were won by representatives of Russia: Khalid Yakhiev became the champion, Magomed Magomaev took second place, Akhmed Usmanov and Kasum Kasumov took bronze. Russian Zelimkhan Khizriev won the weight category up to 125 kg, beating his compatriot Anzor Khizriev in the final. The bronze medalists were Nikita Khabarov (Russia) and Deng Zhiwei (China).

In women’s wrestling in the weight category up to 53 kg, Natalya Malysheva won gold, Anzhelika Vetoshkina won silver, Irina Ologonova and Milana Dadasheva (all Russian) won bronze. Russian Veronika Chumikova became the best in the weight category up to 57 kg, becoming stronger than Gantui Enkhbat from Mongolia in the final. Kristina Mikhneva and Marina Simonyan (both Russian) won bronze.

In the weight category up to 62 kg, Russian Daria Bobrulko became the bronze medalist. Tserenchimed Sukhe (Mongolia) won, Kristina Sazykina of Belarus took silver and Zharkynal Nurlan Kyzy (Kyrgyzstan) won another bronze medal.

The Ivan Yarygin Cup will end on January 28.
