Athletistic/ MMA. Former UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov of Russia has commented on the announcement of the title fight between his compatriot Islam Makhachev and Brazilian Charles Oliveira.
“And this is a serious conversation. It’s just that the legacy continues, don’t miss it,” Khabib wrote on one of the social networks.
Islam Makhachev and Charles Oliveira will fight for the UFC lightweight title on October 22, 2022 in Abu Dhabi. Makhachev is on a 10 fight winning streak, Oliveira’s winning streak is 11 fights.
The lightweight title became vacant after belt holder Charles Oliveira failed to make weight on the eve of the fight with American Justin Gaethje. Oliveira defeated Gaethje by rear naked choke, but due to a failed weigh-in he was stripped of the league title.
