The Ukrainian boxer received the fight and will enter the ring against Mexican fighter Emmanuel Navarrete.
The World Boxing Organization has sanctioned a fight between Mexican Emanuel Navarrete and Ukrainian Denis Berinchyk for the vacant WBO lightweight title.
The boxers must reach an agreement within fifteen days, otherwise everything will be decided in promotional bidding.
WBO spokesman Luis Batista-Salas said:
“Please be notified that the WBO committee is ordering the parties to begin negotiations. The teams will be given 15 days from the date of notification. If an agreement is not reached within the deadline, the promotional bidding process will begin, which will take place in accordance with WBO regulations.”
Note that Navarrete is the current WBO super featherweight champion and will use his rights as super champion to fight for the title in the lightweight division. If the Mexican wins, he will win the belt in the fourth weight category.
Denis holds the WBO International lightweight belt. The Ukrainian fought his last fight in August of last year and defeated Anthony Yigit by unanimous decision.
We remind you that earlier it became known that the WBC authorized a rematch between Usik and Fury.
