Famous Russian mixed martial arts fighter Alexander Emelianenko stated that he had not changed his religion or converted to Islam.
At the end of January, Emelianenko announced on his social media page that he had signed a contract with the Ural FC promotion.

It’s just that here in Russia, evil tongues have written that I converted to Islam. I did not accept Islam. It was precisely because of this that I started having big problems,” Emelianenko said on his Telegram channel.
He particularly thanked for the help given to his rehabilitation.

The 42-year-old fighter has 28 victories during his MMA career, suffered nine defeats and one of his fights ended in a draw. Since last summer, he has been undergoing rehabilitation in Ingushetia.
