Javier fell on canvas three times
American lightweight Ryan Garcia (23-0, 19 KOs) scored a landslide victory over Javier Fortuna (37-4-1, 26 KOs) as part of a boxing evening in Los Angeles at the Crypto.com arena.
Ryan confidently dominated the entire fight. From the fourth to the sixth round, Garcia carried out several devastating attacks, three of which ended in knockdowns for Fortuna. After the third touch of Javier with the canvas, the referee decided not to continue the fight.
Note that both boxers compete in lightweight. However, their face-to-face fight took place within the framework of the first welterweight.
The fight between Garcia and Fortuna was originally supposed to take place last summer, but then Ryan pulled it out due to mental problems.
Garcia fought his last fight in April, defeating the Ghanaian Emmanuel Tagoe by unanimous decision.
Fortuna hasn’t stepped into the ring since last July, when he lost to Joseph Diaz for the interim WBC lightweight title.
