The fight could take place in Saudi Arabia in early summer
WBC scheduled a fight between the Cuban Frank Sanchez (24-0, 17 KOs) and German Agit Kabayel (24-0, 16 KOs)which, under certain conditions, will be able to determine the mandatory contender for the championship title according to the said organization.
Boxing representatives have time to agree on all the details of the upcoming fight.
According to preliminary information, the fight may take place on June 1 at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Both heavyweight boxers scored victories on December 23, 2023, on the undercard of the Judgment Day boxing event. Sanchez knocked out New Zealander Junior Fa, and Kabayel defeated the previously unbeaten Arslanbek Makhmudov.
Tyson Fury holds the WBC heavyweight title. On February 17, the Gypsy King will hold a unification match with Alexander Usik.
