The form of the Ukrainian should be affected by a long pause between fights
Former WBO and WBC world champion and current commentator Timothy Bradley believes that Devin Haney (28-0, 15 KOs) the fight against the Ukrainian Vasily Lomachenko should be held as soon as possible.
“Loma missed a certain time, but you can’t hope that he will be weak. And yet, for Haney, now is the right time to fight Lomachenko, given the Ukrainian’s extended layoff. Devin doesn’t want Loma doing a warm-up fight,” Bradley said.
“I think Haney is capable of defeating him. Devin can control the distance. He needs to improve some things. But the stronger the opponent, the better Haney we will see, ”said the ex-champion.
It was previously reported that Haney’s team is weighing options for his next fight in October. His opponent is planned to be George Kambosos Jr., but other options are being considered.
One of Haney’s possible rivals could be Vasily Lomachenko, who in July announced his readiness to return to the ring. It is expected that Vasily will fight his fight after a long pause in October.
