Zhang’s fight with Joseph will take place on March 8
Interim WBO World Heavyweight Champion Zhang Zhilei commented on the upcoming fight with the former world heavyweight champion Joseph Parker.
“My fight with Parker will be exciting. I am happy that I will be able to take part in another boxing evening in Saudi Arabia.”
“This fight will be completely different than with Joyce. Accordingly, I changed my preparation and approach to the fight. Anything can happen in boxing, but I have the power to beat Parker. Therefore, I expect my victory by knockout.”
Zhilei and Parker will fight on March 8. The fight will take place on the undercard of Anthony Joshua’s confrontation with former UFC champion Francis Ngannou, which is scheduled for Saudi Arabia.
Zhilei in his last fight defeated Joe Joyce in a rematch, knocking out the Briton in the third round. Parker fought as part of the “Day of Reckoning” boxing evening in Riyadh and defeated Deontay Wilder by unanimous decision.
