Demurchyan won the gold medal at the World Championships in Tashkent in the weight category up to 70 kg. The athlete was recognized by the federation as the best in women’s Olympic boxing in 2023. The award ceremony took place on Friday in Serpukhov near Moscow as part of the All-Russian Boxing Forum.
“I didn’t realize that I would become the best athlete in 2023 when I went to the All-Russian Boxing Forum. They called me and said there was going to be a party and an awards show, and I was invited. I was worried because it was the first time I found myself in such an environment, I really liked it.
