WBC, WBO, IBF light heavyweight champion Arthur Beterbiev recognized as the best professional boxer in 2023 according to the Russian Boxing Federation.
The ceremony took place on Friday at the end of the first day of the All-Russian Boxing Forum in Serpukhov.
Beterbiev has 20 first victories in 20 fights in the professional ring. In January 2023, Beterbiev defeated Briton Anthony Yarde by technical knockout in the eighth round in London. In January this year, Beterbiev defeated another British boxer, Callum Smith, by technical knockout in the seventh round in Quebec.
Negotiations are currently underway to organize a fight for the absolute world light heavyweight title between Beterbiev and another Russian WBA champion Dmitry Bivol. The fight is scheduled in Saudi Arabia and the provisional date is June 1. In 2022, Bivol was recognized as the best boxer according to the Russian Boxing Federation.
According to the results of 2023, world champions Sharabutdin Ataev and Anastasia Demurchyan became the best in Olympic boxing according to the Russian Boxing Federation.

– best boxer among juniors – Albina Moldajanova;
