Both fighters have never lost.
American undefeated fighter Ryan Garcia (23-0, 19 KOs) once again announced his intention to fight the WBA (Regular) lightweight champion Gervonta “Tank” Davis (27-0, 25 KOs).
“I’m going to meet Tank. If Gervonta wants to fight at light welterweight, we’ll do it.”
“I’m not afraid of anyone. I want to compete and look the best. You’ll see it when I kick Davis’ ass.”
Today Garcia defeated Javier Fortuna ahead of schedule. The fight was stopped in the sixth round after another knockdown by Ryan.
Gervonta Davis fought his last fight at the end of May, defeating compatriot Rolando Romero to defend his WBA lightweight title.
Garcia and Davis were in the top five best boxers in the lightweight category according to The Ring magazine, which also included Ukrainian Vasily Lomachenko.
