UFC spokesperson strips Chinese fighter of national flag after victory

the day before Muslim Salikhov lost by technical knockout against the Chinese Li Jingliang at UFC Fight Night in New York. The fight ended at the end of the second round.

After the fight, an incident occurred involving the winner. Li Jingliang put his flag in the octagon after the victory. However, a UFC representative took the athlete’s flag. Jingliang immediately tried to protest and return the Chinese flag, but to no avail, according to Spinning Backfist.

It should be noted that this incident is one of many examples of how the UFC is banning its fighters from displaying their country’s flags at UFC events in 2022.

Fighters like Ecuadorian Marlon Vera, Jamaican-born fighter Randy Brown and others have spoken of being banned from carrying their flags in the octagon this year.
