The Ukrainian world super-heavyweight boxing champion believes that the Briton should be more professional in his responsibilities.
Oleksandr Usyk does not blame Tyson Fury for the injury he sustained during sparring. According to the WBA, WBO, IBO and IBF heavyweight champion, this is boxing and these things happen.
At the same time, the Ukrainian blamed the British boxer for his unprofessional attitude in training, which cannot happen at the championship level.
“I don’t judge anyone, no one at all. It happens, this is boxing. You just need to take it very seriously. Because we are on a different level from Tyson Fury. We have to cross out every little detail in order to continue the preparation and getting into the ring.”
Judging people for some mistakes is weakness. I felt good, and even if someone was playing with me, they were playing by my rules.
I want to see my son, hug, thank my wife, pray, stay at home for 2 or 3 days, and go back to the gym, because a hot ring is waiting for me,” Usyk said at a press conference.
We remind you that the fight between Usik and Fury was supposed to take place on February 17, but it was postponed due to the cut the Briton received during sparring. The match is scheduled for May 18 in Saudi Arabia.
Earlier, the former world champion criticized Tyson Fury for careless behavior during training.
