The Ukrainian is ready to fight for the title of absolute champion with the Briton anywhere and anytime.
Alexander Usik commented on the appointment of a new date for his fight with Tyson Fury. The WBA, WBO and IBF heavyweight world champion wants the number 18.
According to the Ukrainian, he is not disappointed that the battle will take place after a few months. And he’s ready to fight for the title of absolute champion any day of the week.
“I am not disappointed. 18 is a beautiful number. My son was born on January 18. My mother was born on the 19th, my father was born on the 19th. 18 is a lucky number.
All numbers are lucky for me. A good date, a good day. This is not a problem. I’m ready to fight any day,” Usyk said in an interview with the Boxing News YouTube channel.
We remind you that the fight between Usik and Fury was supposed to take place on February 17, but it was postponed due to the cut the Briton received during sparring. The match is scheduled for May 18 in Saudi Arabia.
Earlier, Oleksandr Usyk spoke about how he reacted to Fury’s injury.
