“We need to go to the 2024 Olympics not only under a neutral flag, but also with wording stating exactly what the athletes do not support in their country. And with their presence, those who would like to participate in the 2024 Olympics will speak about that.
Of course, for any athlete and coach, the Olympics are the most important tournament. But it seems to me that among the entire boxing fraternity of Russia there is now no one who can change this for his homeland, to move away from his people, from his country. I am more than sure that there are no such people among Russian boxers,” Kravtsov was quoted as saying by the Championship.
The IOC allows Russian and Belarusian athletes to participate in the 2024 Olympic Games with a neutral status and under certain conditions. It should be noted that athletes from Russia and Belarus can participate in the Paris Games only in individual disciplines, while team sports competitions will be held without the participation of these countries.
