American boxer Teofimo Lopez defeated compatriot Jamayne Ortiz and defended the World Boxing Organization (WBO) junior welterweight title.
The fight took place in Las Vegas and ended with Lopez’s victory by unanimous decision – 117-111, 115-113, 115-113.
Lopez won the title last June in a fight with Briton Josh Taylor. Lopez, 26, has 20 victories (13 by knockout) and one defeat in the professional ring, Ortiz, 27, won 17 fights (8 by stoppage), lost twice and ended one fight in a draw.
