Former Brazilian coach Charles Oliveira Flavio Alvaro believes that the Russian Islam Makhachev no chance of winning the fight for the vacant Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) lightweight belt
The title fight will take place on October 22 at UFC 280 in Abu Dhabi. Oliveira lost his championship belt in May when he failed to hit the weight limit before a fight with Justin Gaethje, which ultimately ended with the Brazilian winning the first round.
– The fight can take place anywhere, but the result will be the same. Makhachev has no chance, he will be beaten. A lot of people think that Oliveira will just be overthrown, but that’s not the case,” Alvaro Sherdog quotes.
Oliveira has 33 wins and eight losses in his MMA career, while Makhachev has 22 wins with one loss. The last time the Brazilian lost was in 2017, his winning streak is 11 fights. Makhachev, who has been with the UFC since 2015, has won 10 fights in a row.
