Hearn: I don’t understand why Garcia-Davis fight can’t happen

British promoter sees huge potential in this megafight

Promoter Eddie Hearn sure bout between american undefeated boxer Ryan Garcia (23-0, 19 KOs) and WBA (Regular) lightweight champion Gervonta “Tank” Davis (27-0, 25 KOs), that’s a great idea.

“Ryan Garcia and Gervonta Davis is a massive fight. These are two different fan bases. It’s just a great combination of styles, personalities, storytelling. I hope these guys can do it. I really believe. I think Ryan will take this fight. And Davis would like to participate in this fight. I’m sure he thinks he would convincingly beat Ryan Garcia. So hopefully everyone involved can get what they want,” Eddie Hearn said on the latest edition of the DAZN boxing show.

“I don’t care what weight this fight will be. In whatever. It’s just a really good fight. I don’t understand why this fight can’t take place.”

Recall that recently Ryan Garcia has already challenged Gervonta Davis.

In the last fight, Garcia defeated Javier Fortuna ahead of schedule. The fight was stopped in the sixth round after another knockdown by Ryan.

Gervonta Davis fought his last fight at the end of May, defeating compatriot Rolando Romero to defend his WBA lightweight title.

Garcia and Davis were in the top five best boxers in the lightweight category according to The Ring magazine, which also included Ukrainian Vasily Lomachenko.
