The legendary Ukrainian boxer lost the title to American Brewster under strange circumstances.

Wladimir Klitschko should have at least one less defeat in his career. Promoter Alexander Krasyuk recalls the unusual fight for the vacant WBO heavyweight title between Ukrainian and American boxer Lamon Brewster.

Then our boxer dominated, but then lost the initiative and suffered a technical defeat. According to the official, the cause was food poisoning.

“Wladimir really dominated and won before, but once he just withered in the ring. It was poisonous. He passed out during the fight, after the fight, Klitschko was unconscious when he was taken to the hospital. When he was taken to the hospital and he passed the all the necessary tests, the level of glucose in his blood was off the charts, this could not have happened from ordinary blows in the fight,” said Krasyuk in an interview with Sportarena.

Remember that the fight that Krasyuk remembered took place in April 2004. Then Vladimir Klitschko led four rounds, knocked out the American, but in the fifth round he was on the verge of exhaustion and lost by technical knockout. In the 2007 rematch, Brewster’s corner retired his fighter between the 6th and 7th rounds.

We remind you that the previously named Vladimir Klitschko is his most persistent opponent.
