Bastrykin ordered to submit a report on the progress of the investigation into the disappearance of an athlete in Dagestan

The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Alexander Bastrykin, instructed the head of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Dagestan, Dmitry Belyaev, to present a report on the progress of the investigation into the he criminal case of the unknown disappearance of Thai boxing fighter Anna Tsomartova in Kaspiysk, reports the press service of the department.

Earlier, the Baza Telegram channel reported that a 22-year-old student of Rostov Law Faculty Tsomartova came to Kaspiysk for a Thai boxing competition. The girl was defeated for the first time in 10 years. After the competition, she left her phone at home and disappeared. CCTV cameras last spotted the athlete on the shores of the Caspian Sea.

Bastrykin asked to submit a report on the circumstances established in the course of investigative actions and, upon completion of the investigation of the criminal case, on its results. The execution of the order was placed under control at the central office of the department,” the statement said.
