Russian fighter Umar Nurmagomedov will fight with Bekzat Almahan at the UFC Vegas 87 tournament, the promotion’s press service reports.
Earlier, Front Kicked reported that the fight between Nurmagomedov and Almakhanov will open the main card of UFC Vegas 87.
The tournament will take place on March 2 in Las Vegas (USA), its main event will be the fight between Surinamese Jairzinho Rozenstruik and Shamil Gaziev, representing Bahrain.
Umar Nurmagomedov was scheduled to meet Corey Sandhagen in August 2023, but the fight did not take place due to the Russian’s shoulder injury. The 28-year-old Nurmagomedov’s stats are 16 wins in 16 fights. Umar is the first cousin of former UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov.
