Russian Greco-Roman wrestler Ruslan Bichurin won silver in the weight category up to 67 kg at the European Championships taking place in Bucharest.
In the final match, Bichurin lost to Azerbaijan’s Hasrat Jafarov. The bronze prizes went to Abu Muslim Amayev (Bulgaria) and Murat Firat from Turkey.
Russian Sadyk Lalaev won bronze in the weight category up to 60 kg, defeating the representative of Serbia Georgiy Tibilov in the small final. Azerbaijan’s Nikhat Mammadli won gold in this weight category, defeating Moldova’s Victor Choban in the final. The second bronze medalist was Razvan Arnaut (Romania).
Russian wrestlers participate in the European Championships in neutral status.
