Swedish fighter of Chechen origin Khamzat Chimaev meet an american Nate Diaz as part of the UFC 279 tournament in Las Vegas (Nevada, USA), journalist Brett Okamoto said on Twitter.
The fight will take place on September 10 and will be the main event of the evening, the fight will consist of five rounds. UFC business manager Hunter Campbell said the fighters gave verbal consent to the bout.
This will be the last fight under Nate Diaz, 37,’s current contract with the UFC. He has 20 wins and 13 losses in MMA. Chimaev, 28, has had 11 fights and 11 wins.
