The Swedish heavyweight assessed the story of another postponement of the fight for the title of absolute champion.
Tyson Fury has never intentionally been cut in training. This is what the Swedish representative of the heavyweight division, Otto Wallin, said.
According to the boxer, in the fight for the title of absolute world champion, there is too much at stake to risk too much.
“It doesn’t make sense. What I mean is, would anyone do that? Letting yourself get cut is on the verge of madness. You can withdraw from a fight in different ways. You can say you injured your elbow, knee, leg and everything else.
I never thought Fury would do that. It makes no sense. Too much money is at stake. “I think Fury wants a fight,” Wallin said in comments on iFL TV.
We remind you that the fight between Usik and Fury was supposed to take place on February 17, but it was canceled due to the injury of the Briton. Now the match is scheduled for May 18 in the capital of Saudi Arabia, Riyadh.
It was previously known when Fury would resume sparring after the cut.
