Steve Cunningham shares his expectations from the fight for the title of absolute world champion.
Oleksandr Usyk will beat Tyson Fury. Former world heavyweight champion Steve Cunningham is confident about it.
The American boxer, who previously met the WBC title holder in the heavyweight division in the ring, named several reasons why the Ukrainian boxer would be an absolute champion.
“I think that Usik can beat Fury for two specific reasons. The first is Usik’s skills. He has no equal here. The guy has weird movements, which makes him a very awkward opponent. Usik thinks different, looking at everything from a different angle, and showing the highest caliber of boxing, he will throw a lot of punches that can stop Fury.
The second reason is his team and management. His manager is Egis Klimas. It is a driving force in Europe and around the world. Egis has a solid career and knows how to protect his fighters,” Boxing News 24 quoted Cunningham as saying.
We remind you that the fight between Usik and Fury was supposed to take place on February 17, but it was canceled due to the injury of the Briton. Now the match is scheduled for May 18 in the capital of Saudi Arabia, Riyadh.
Previously, Fury’s promoter said whether the Briton could beat Usik.
