Friday in Dushanbe, during the “Night of IBA Champions” tournament in the fight between the 2019 world and Asian champion Mirazizbek Mirzakhalilov (5-0, KO 3) from Uzbekistan and the Mexican Luis Rodriguez Okana (15-1, KO 14), Shumkov’s opponent in the fight was determined for the IBA belt weighing up to 57 kg. Mirzakhalilov defeated his opponent by unanimous decision and immediately had a staring duel with Shumkov in the ring. The European Championships will take place in April in Serbia.
