— During a weapons demonstration at a sambo tournament, the trigger was unintentionally pulled. As a result, the munitions exploded, several people were slightly injured, received medical assistance and no one was hospitalized, the department said.
Investigators have opened a procedural investigation into the incident.
The press service of the Russian Sports Ministry clarified that the incident occurred during an exhibition of uniforms and weapons. As a result of careless handling of a loaded weapon, a shooting occurred.
