“Makhachev constantly puts pressure on his rivals” – Cormier

Former UFC Champion Daniel Cormier talked about the advantage of Russia Islam Makhachev in a fight for the vacant Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) lightweight belt with the Brazilian Charles Oliveira .

The title fight will take place on October 22 at UFC 280 in Abu Dhabi. Oliveira lost his championship belt in May when he failed to hit the weight limit before a fight with Justin Gaethje, which ultimately ended with the Brazilian winning the first round.

– Makhachev constantly puts pressure on his rivals and this is one of his main advantages. He can fight Oliveira and rarely makes mistakes, ESPN quote Cormier.

Oliveira has 33 wins and eight losses in his MMA career, while Makhachev has 22 wins and one loss. The last time the Brazilian lost was in 2017, his winning streak is 11 fights. Makhachev, who has been with the UFC since 2015, has won 10 fights in a row.
