Athletistic / Boxing. The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has not allowed former Filipino world boxing champion Manny Pacquiao to participate in the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, France. This was announced by Philippine National Olympic Committee President Abraham Tolentino.

Last October, the Philippine NOC sent a corresponding letter to the IOC. In it, the organization requested that Pacquiao, 45, be able to participate in the Games. In Manny’s case, an exception had to be made, since only athletes between the ages of 19 and 40 can compete in the Olympics. But ultimately, the IOC did not cooperate.

The head of the UFC praised Topuria’s victory over Volkanovski

“It’s a shame that our boxing icon was not allowed to compete. Pacquiao was not allowed because of his age. He also told us that everyone had to go through qualifying competitions” , Tolentino was quoted as saying by BoxingNews24.
