Down-the-line.com/MMA. Russian bantamweight MMA fighter Pyotr Yan will next fight at UFC 280 in Abu Dhabi (UAE). His opponent will be Sean O’Malley, according to ESPN.
Yan and O’Malley will fight in a tournament that will feature a lightweight title fight between Islam Makhachev and Charles Oliveira.
Jan’s last opponent was American Aljamain Sterling. In the rematch, the Russian lost by a separate decision of the judges. He couldn’t get his belt back.
In turn, O’Malley had a falling out with Pedro Munoz in early July. The bout was declared invalid due to a punch to the eye.
