On Saturday in Saudi Arabia, Nemkov choked out the winner of the 2021 PFL Grand Prix, Brazilian Bruno Cappelozza, in the second round of the Bellator vs PFL tournament. For former Bellator champion and winner of the organization’s light heavyweight Grand Prix, Nemkov, 31, the fight was his debut in the heavyweight division.
Former UFC heavyweight champion Ngannou previously signed a contract with PFL, which is now focusing on his boxing performances.
– As I said before the fight… Initially, I didn’t see any chance for Cappelozza. Vadim looked better than he did in the light heavyweight division. The speed is just crazy, the timing is good. Simply excellent work, congratulations Vadim. I think Ngannou himself will not want to fight Vadim,” Sidelnikov told .
Previously, Sidelnikov played in the same team with Nemkov.
