Johnny Nelson examined the chances of the Ukrainian and British boxers to win the rematch.

Former world cruiserweight champion Johnny Nelson shared his opinion on the fight between WBA, WBO and IBF heavyweight title holders Alexander Usik and Anthony Joshua.

According to Nelson, the boxers will choose a different tactic compared to the first fight.

“Winning is not an impossible task for Joshua. He has the skills and tools to win. He has to choose the right tactics.

Both fighters have the honor to share the ring, they know each other’s strengths and weaknesses. Most likely, Usyk was already thinking about the pressure, as he almost knocked out Joshua in the first fight. Anthony can imagine playing Usyk in his own game and keeping him under pressure all the time trying to destroy him. “

Nelson said Alexander and Anthony will try to knock each other out in a rematch.

“None of them were going to enter the ring with similar tactics in the first fight. Usyk wanted to make everything clear after the first fight, which went to everyone. He wanted to beat Joshua early.

Anthony comes out and wants to knock out Usyk, because he knows the longer the fight lasts, the better Alexander will be. Joshua doesn’t allow Usyk to be comfortable with his presence, with his environment, with his company, ”Sky Sports quoted Nelson as saying.

It will be recalled that the rematch of Usyk and Joshua will take place on August 20 in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia) at the Super Dome arena.

In the first match, which took place in September 2021, the Ukrainian defeated the Briton by unanimous decision, winning the championship belt.
