Russian fighter Islam Omarov defeated a compatriot Alexei Polpudnikov in the main fight of the ASA 171 tournament in Krasnodar.
The fight ended in the second round, Omarov won by strangulation. The 26-year-old fighter defended his featherweight championship belt and reached the final of the ACA Grand Prix, where he will meet the winner of the fight between Kurban Taigibov and Bibert Tumenov.
For the undefeated Omarov, this victory was the 15th in MMA. The professional record of Polpudnikov, 31, is 34 wins, 10 losses and one draw.
