Russian fighter Vyacheslav Vasilyevsky admitted that he trains much less, but this should be enough for the fight with Belarusian Vladislav Kovalev.
The fight between Vasilevsky and Kovalev will take place on March 1 in Moscow and will be the headliner of the Ural FC 6 tournament. The format of the fight is five rounds of two minutes each according to the rules of boxing with MMA gloves.
— It’s a fact that I train less. My main activity is filming on television and I train in my free time. I m 35 years old. I wouldn’t say I’m a veteran, but I’ve had a lot of fights. And I need an individual approach. If I train like I used to – exercises, two workouts, etc… I won’t last long. As it has been said, “Great geniuses sometimes achieve more by working less.” “I’m not a genius, but this is the approach,” reports the correspondent of , according to Vasilevsky’s words.
— After March 1, you will be entirely on television. You will no longer think about battles. My goal is only victory. “I intend to silence many people with this victory,” Kovalev added in turn.
Vasilevsky has 36 wins and nine losses in MMA, while Kovalev has four wins and two losses.
