– Why do you need this fight with Belaz?
– (Laughs). Good question. And above all, unexpected. I myself don’t really understand why with Belaz. Probably because of our origin, this confrontation arose from our conflict. But for me…I can’t say I really really needed this fight. Belaz is today widely known and publicized. And this fight immediately sparked interest. Our showdown is a meeting of two schools – old school and pop MMA. As a result, our fight affects both audiences.
— Why are you going to win on Friday?
“Because I am Vyacheslav Vasilevsky and I have to defeat him,” Vasilevsky told .
Vasilevsky has 36 wins and nine losses in MMA, while Kovalev has four wins and two losses.
