Athletistic/MMA. Famous Russian MMA fighter Vyacheslav Vasilevsky shared his opinion on who would emerge victorious if a boxing fight took place between former UFC champions – Russian Petr Yan and Irishman Conor McGregor.
“Petya is a basic boxer. However, that was a long time ago. And all his development, all his success happened in mixed martial arts. Most of his life, Ian was involved in MMA .We cannot say that he is a pure boxer, he has good hands, he boxes well, however, his fight with McGregor would be competitive.
In boxing, Peter would have had better chances. “The training and boxing base would be felt, and because of this, the Russian would have an advantage over Conor,” Vasilevsky was quoted as saying by “Championship”.
Peter Yan fought 21 fights in mixed martial arts – won 16 victories and suffered five defeats. It is important to note that the 30-year-old Russian has lost his last three fights.
Conor McGregor has 28 fights in MMA: he has won 22 and suffered six defeats. The 35-year-old Irishman has not entered the Octagon since July 10, 2021.
