Russian UFC fighter Irina Alekseeva shared how she handles criticism from haters after fights.
Alekseeva, 33, has five victories and two defeats. In April 2023, the Russian made her UFC debut, defeating Stephanie Egger early, and in October she lost to Briton Melissa Dixon by unanimous decision.
— If a fighter loses, so much crap falls on him, it’s just unrealistic. The most amazing thing is that I encountered this myself. When they come to me and say, “You lost, you need to add more punch,” even though I lost the last fight on the ground, I actually gave up control. There are times when you just want to send three letters. This man came from the gym where I work out.
It’s just people studying there with a subscription. And they come in and start saying something else. People who have never stepped into the octagon. Only coaches and relatives can criticize me and say something, but strangers should not do that. You can’t criticize people without being in their place,” Alekseeva told Metaratings.ru.
