The former coach of the Ukrainian boxer is confident in the strength of the ex-world champion and his ability to win.

Alexander Gvozdyk is still able to beat the best boxers, even despite a significant break in his career. This is what former trainer of Ukrainian boxer Teddy Atlas thinks.

According to the specialist, Gvozdyk will beat his next opponent, David Benavidez.

Gvozdyk took a break for years to think about everything, to form some conclusions to return. And I think he’s a dangerous fighter. I think he will beat Benavidez.

I love Benavidez. Gaters, let’s vent your anger, I don’t care. If I haven’t proven anything in 50 years, I don’t care what some of you say. This is true. I love Benavidez.

I think Benavidez is a boxer, he has the core of a fighter, he carries himself like a fighter, he fights like a fighter, he has a style that you love to watch – aggressive, strong.

But I don’t know if he knows the danger he is taking. There are more carnations. Again, this is someone who was a world champion, someone who defended his title, someone who only lost to Beterbiev, even though he won the fight.

If David is not prepared for this, he will be bitterly disappointed. I’m sure he’ll be ready because he’s going to take on a guy who’s going to make him suffer and attack him and beat the crap out of him as he goes along. That can also make him retreat in places, that can use his legs to find the right angles, create traps.

Again, it’s too early to tell, but for the players out there, I’ll finish with this: I like Benavidez, like I said before. I love him, but I think Gvozdyk will hit him,” Atlas said in his Youtube broadcast.

We remind you that the fight between Gvozdyk and David Benavidez should take place in June or July 2024.
