“I don’t want to think that the WBO will strip Tim of the title if he loses to Thurman. I don’t even want to discuss it, because we are not going to lose,” Tszyu told .

In the professional ring, 29-year-old Tszyu fought 24 fights and won them all. Thurman, 32, has 30 wins and one loss. The American has not entered the ring since May 2022, when he beat compatriot Mario Barrios. Previously, in different years, he was welterweight world champion according to the WBA, WBC and WBA Super versions.
