Russian Tamerlan Bachaev won silver at the Judo Grand Prix tournament in Takshent in the weight category above 100 kg.
In the final match, the Olympic bronze medalist was defeated by Japan’s Hyogi Ota. Bronze medals were won by another Russian judoka Inal Tasoev, who defeated the representative of Uzbekistan Shokhrukh Bakhtiyorov, and the Japanese Kokoro Kageura, who broke the resistance of the Hungarian Richard Shipets.
Russian Elis Startseva also won the bronze medal in the weight category above 78 kg. Mikhail Igolnikov (up to 90 kg) lost the fight for bronze.
The Russians are participating in the tournament in neutral status.
