“I don’t understand what people expected from Ngannou before our fight. I know they gave him a 1000 to 1 chance, they thought he was useless, that he couldn’t fight and all that . But Francis proved everyone wrong, it’s fantastic for him. “I made him famous, I made him a multi-millionaire, and now I’m making him even more money. So he should thank me. He should get on his knees and kiss my feet. This is all because of what I did for him,” Fury quotes MMA Fighting.
On November 16, it became known that the unification fight between Ukrainian Alexander Usik and Tyson Fury was postponed until 2024. Initially, their fight was supposed to take place on December 23, 2023 in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia), but after the difficult victory of the Briton over Ngannou, his team announced that Tyson would not be ready to face the Ukrainian in December. Note that Fury beat Ngannou by split decision.
