Athletistic/MMA. Former UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov admitted that almost no one knew about his intention to retire from mixed martial arts after the 29th fight of his career. Immediately after the fight, the athlete announced that he was retiring from his career.

In total, the Russian fought 29 fights during his career. He won them all.

Khabib: “I haven’t left coaching”

“No one knew except me and my mother. But I knew personally when I entered the octagon that it was my last fight. The first round, and I was already bored talking. I was sure that I would never step into the octagon. “I went in there like it was my last fight. My preparation for this fight was very bad, terrible… More precisely, not preparation, but injuries: I was in the hospital for seven days, then I came back, then I broke my finger. “It was a tough preparation. But I didn’t share it with anyone, I just said I would go into this fight anyway. I understood that even if it was hard, I have baggage from which I will draw strength,” Nurmagomedov said on the VK Video platform.
