Former Bellator middleweight title challenger Anatoly Tokov talked about canceling the fight with Magomed Ismailov wishing good health to his opponent.
Ismailov and Tokov were supposed to fight on March 9 at the ASA 172 tournament. The fight was supposed to be a rematch after the fight that took place at the M-1 promotion tournament in 2013. As reported in the ASA League, Ismailov declined the fight due to injury.
“I have no information on the new date of the fight. I don’t know anything yet. But it is clear that our fight arouses great interest from national supporters. Yes, I would like to meet Magomed myself. It would be a very big confrontation. But nothing. Life goes on. This happens in every athlete’s career. I can only wish Magomed a speedy recovery and that he continues to delight Russian fans,” Tokov said according to RT.
