Joshua: I’m not thinking about facing Fury or Usyk, I’m focused on Ngannou

Saudi investors are planning to organize a fight between the two winners of the biggest confrontations in the heavyweight division

Former world heavyweight boxing champion Anthony Joshua said that he is focused on the fight with the ex-UFC champion Francis Ngannouand does not pay attention to a possible future fight with Tyson Fury or Alexander Usik.

“We are not looking beyond this fight. This is my main task. Incentives and all that, it’s just a win. I’m focused on my game plan, what I need to do.”

“We are happy. Ready for battle. That’s what it’s all here for. “I get paid for this,” the Briton added.

Earlier, the Chairman of the General Authority of Entertainment of Saudi Arabia, Turki Al ash-Sheikh, notified Tyson Fury that the winner of the two fights of the British against Alexander Usik will meet in the ring with the winner of the Joshua-Ngannou confrontation. Discussions about a potential event have been ongoing since January. AJ’s promoter Eddie Hearn has said that the proposed fight between his protégé and the “Gypsy King” (if both win their upcoming fights) will be “one of the greatest in history.”

The Joshua-Ngannou fight will take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia next Friday, March 8th. You can watch the event online on the DAZN platform via the PPV system. The viewing cost for Ukraine is $20.

At the end of December, Joshua confidently defeated Otto Wallin, who refused to continue the fight after the 5th round, as part of the “Day of Reckoning”. Anthony stated that he was ready to fight the next fight with anyone.

Ngannou lost a decision to WBC world champion Tyson Fury in his only boxing fight. The Cameroonian made a good impression against the current champion title holder, knocking down the “Gypsy King” and inflicting several cuts on the Briton.
