Earlier, former world heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson announced on his social media that he would fight with video blogger Jake Paul. The fight will take place on July 20 in Arlington (Texas, USA). It is still unclear whether it will receive the status of an official fight between professionals or whether it will be an exhibition.
“I don’t know how Jake Paul can raise his hand against Mike Tyson. It’s a legend. I can’t imagine how you can go out and seriously fight him. Mike Tyson is an honored person in this sport and is already retired. We love, appreciate and respect Mike for his sporting achievements, but for a young man to go and fight him… I think it’s wrong,” Papin told .
Tyson is 57; his last official fight dates back to 2005. In total, his record includes 50 victories and 6 defeats. Paul, 27, has nine victories and one defeat.
On Friday March 8, in Maykop, during the Betcity evening of the professional boxing tournament, Papin will fight with his compatriot Igor Vilchitsky. This show will be broadcast live on the channel, starting at 9:00 p.m. (Moscow time).
