Russian fighter Pierre Yan spoke about his plans after defeating Chinese Song Yadong at the UFC 299 tournament in Miami (USA).
The fight took place on Saturday and ended with the victory of the 31-year-old Russian by unanimous decision. He ended a three-fight losing streak in the UFC.

— You said you were opening the rematch season in the UFC. Mérab (Dvalishvili ), Sean (O’Malley ) are the opponents you want to face first?
– The one they will give. I want to beat these guys and approach these fights more responsibly.
— Is it interesting to fight with the winner of the fight between Cody Garbrandt And Deiveson Figueredo who will be at UFC 300?
– I don’t know. Garbrandt is a downed pilot. I called on him to fight for a long time, but he refused. Now he no longer interests me. Regarding Figueredo, when he moved up to 61kg, I expressed a desire to fight him, but then the fight didn’t happen. The hunt for the other guys is now on.
— What is the main objective of the year?
— I would like at least three fights. We will see what happens later,” Yang said at a press conference.
For Yang, the victory over Yadong was the first since 2021; in total, his record includes 17 victories and five defeats. He previously held the UFC bantamweight title.
