A trip to the Games in Paris is direct proof of his talent, professionalism and hard work. Tokyo Games silver medalist Tatyana Minina and World Championship bronze medalist Polina Khan also showed a high level at the international tournament. The national taekwondo school continues to develop and Russian athletes remain competitive. I express my gratitude to the Russian Taekwondo Union and the coaching team for the high-quality level of training of athletes and wish them success in their future work,” Matytsin was quoted as saying by the service press release from the Ministry of Sports.

The Olympic Games in the French capital will be held from July 26 to August 11.
