The winner will challenge defending champion Luis Lopez
Ukrainian featherweight boxer Arnold Khegai (21-1-1, 13 KO) will fight his next fight against Lerato Dlamini (20-2, 11 KO) from South Africa for the title of mandatory challenger for the belt IBF.
In the current ranking of the International Boxing Federation, the Ukrainian ranks third, Dlamini second. The IBF announced that the winner of the eliminator will receive the vacant number one ranking and become a mandatory challenger for the championship title held by Mexican Luis Lopez (30-2, 17 KOs).
Khegay defeated Spaniard Jon Martinez in his last fight in January. The Ukrainian stopped his opponent by technical knockout in the third round.
Dlamini in his previous fight defeated Japanese Tomoki Kamedu in October 2023. The South African boxer initially planned to have a rematch with Kameda, but ultimately opted for a fight with Hegai.
