Athletistic/ Boxing. The World Boxing Council (WBC) has indicated that it will allow former WBA, IBF and WBO heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua (28-3) to fight the winner of the fight between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk.
“The WBC was asked to sanction Joshua’s fight for the undisputed titles. We agreed,” WBC president Mauricio Sulaiman said in an interview with Sky Sports.
Fury and Usyk were supposed to fight in the ring on February 17, but the fight was postponed to May 18 due to the British boxer receiving a cut.
