Last year, the American lost to Joshua, and the Briton to Usik, but then both won
American heavyweight Jermaine Franklin-Jr challenged a British boxer to a fight Daniel Dubois.
“Let’s make it happen,” Jermaine said to his colleague on social networks.
30-year-old Franklin (22-2, 14 KOs) fought his last fight last summer against Isaac Munoz Gutierrez (win on points). Before this, Jermaine suffered the only two defeats in his professional career – first to Dillian Whyte and then to Anthony Joshua.
26-year-old Dubois (20-2, 19 KOs) knocked out Jarrell Miller in December 2023 as part of the “Day of Reckoning” boxing evening. Before this, in August, Daniel had a fight with Alexander Usik in Wroclaw at the Tarczynski Arena. In the ninth round, the Ukrainian world heavyweight champion WBA/WBO/IBO/IBF managed to knock out the Briton.
According to promoter Frank Warren, Dubois could fight any heavyweight in the top 10.
